dance parties and competitions! Attached is our monthly calendar
for July 2005 with the following highlights:
Friday nights-Dance Elite Ballroom (on Haggerty, north of Maple
in W. Bloomfield)- 8pm Int/Adv. hustle combinations with double/triple
spins -$10 p.p. and open dance party from 9-11pm with great
food, music and dance partners. The summer crowd has been really
great so far!
Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm-Dance Elite Ballroom- CBC Technique
class focusing on silver/gold patterns with emphasis on body
movement and execution.
Sunday afternoons-Polish-American Cultural Center (on Maple
& Dequindre in Troy) 4pm Beginning waltz class and open
dance party from 5-6pm for $10 p.p.
Monday mornings-Dance Elite Ballroom-10am-12pm Monday Matinee
with group class at 10am and open dancing until 12pm for $10
p.p.
Congratulations to Glenn and Blaire on their recent results
at the Chicago Crystal Ball (3rd place in open smooth competition
behind Nancy Senner) and North Coast Dance Competition (1st
in open smooth and 2nd in open standard) with Blaire and Mark
Zartarian taking 1st in open amateur standard.
Glenn was recently featured on WJR's talk radio to share
his experiences with "Dancing with the Stars." Along
with the movie, "Mad Hot Ballroom" showing at the
Royal Oak Main Theatre, ballroom dancing is getting some really
great publicity these days!
